We are pleased to announce the I Course for Expert Patients in Hereditary Myocardial Diseases, to be held Saturday 12 April 2025 in Naples from 8.30 hours, at the Vincenzo Monaldi Hospital – Conference Hall Ground Floor.
The training of the “expert patient” in Hereditary Myocardial Diseases responds to the need for a new doctor-patient relationship, considering the higher cultural level, access to scientific information and sharing of clinical decisions required by international guidelines (Shared decision making). The expert patient participates in new collaborative models, contributing to the research and development of drugs with pharmaceutical companies and regulatory bodies.
The training day, organized by AICARM in collaboration with the Vincenzo Monaldi hospital, will offer a complete course on the management of cardiomyopathy. Experts in the field will address fundamental issues for the well-being of patients: from genetic diagnosis to the most innovative therapies, from psychological support to the management of physical activity, up to specific topics such as pregnancy and contraception.
During the course there will be plenty of time for discussion and questions, allowing for fruitful interaction between speakers and participants. In the afternoon, many patients will share their experiences of living with cardiomyopathy. We will also talk about AICARM and the projects that the Association has planned for 2025.
