From 1 January 2025, the disability reform provided for by Legislative Decree 62/2024 came into force, on an experimental basis in nine Italian cities. Disability is no longer seen only from a medical point of view, but also considering the psychosocial and biological spheres. The certifying doctor will have to draw up a much more detailed and complex certificate than in the past.

AICARM has launched the "Cardioprotected Community" project with the aim of testing, evaluating, and disseminating a model for organizing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a regional scale. Five pilot areas have been identified, involving local institutions that will then manage and expand them.
