AICARM is pleased to announce its patronage of the Masterclass on Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy which will take place at Florence on November 26 and 27, 2024.
The course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, reflecting the clinical research experience gained over 40 years at the Careggi University Hospital in Florence, with the assistance of experts from other Italian institutions.
The topics covered are broad, ranging from basic sciences to cardiac surgery, from genetic diagnosis to new pharmacological options for the treatment of left ventricular outflow obstruction. The teaching staff has direct experience in the sector, and is trained to maintain an extremely practical, informal and interactive approach during the presentations.
In addition to the plenary lectures, workshops are planned to offer a comprehensive overview, with small-group discussion of the various possible options in the clinical-therapeutic decision-making process, through the evaluation of clinical, genetic and imaging data. In addition to a 360-degree update, the course aims to address the discrepancies and grey areas between guidelines and real-world practice, and to promote the creation of expert teams throughout the country for the care of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
AICARM sincerely thanks the promoters and organizers for their commitment in realizing this initiative, and invites cardiologists and specialists to participate in this opportunity for updating and comparison.
