AICARM protagonist of the initiative of the European Parliament which on 15 November placed cardiomyopathies at the center of attention in a conference entitled: “Cardiomyopathies issue: cardiovascular diseases underestimated in Europe”.
Il Prof. Iacopo Olivotto, international expert in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiomyopathies, also as president of the scientific committee of AICARM and theIng. Matteo Pinciroli , member of AICARM, as Chairman of the Council of Cardiomyopathy Association in Global Heart Hub, a global alliance of patient associations, participated in the event organized by the European deputy Dr. Juozas Olekas, former Lithuanian Minister of Health and by Maria da Graça Carvalho, MEP and Co-President of the Heart Group of the European Parliament, with the participation of other experts from different countries.
Prof. Olivotto's report had as its theme the "Roadmap in the field of cardiomyopathies" policies and priorities, while Eng. Matteo Pinciroli was part of the discussion panel on the theme: How to exploit the policies and initiatives of the EU to improve the detection and treatment of cardiomyopathies in Europe?
