An association for patients and doctors

To unite patients with cardiomyopathies and their families
Reduce the impact of cardiomyopathies
Helping to live with it and improve the quality of life

The Association AICARM Onlus (Association IItalian for the study and research of CARGodMiopatie) aims to provide support to patients with Cardiomyopathy (Heart Muscle Disease), improve their quality of life and survival, spread and increase scientific knowledge in this field.

In the last 50 years there has been enormous progress in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiomyopathies and in the search for their causes. Scientific and clinical research have allowed more precise diagnoses and personalized therapies for heart muscle diseases, both familiar, of genetic origin, and acquired, such as, for example, after myocarditis or after having undergone courses of chemotherapy. However, most affected people are still undiagnosed, not treated properly and have not adapted their lifestyle.

AICARM acts as a point of reference and contact for all affected patients and for health personnel involved in assistance and research in the various cases of Cardiomyopathy.
