Prof. Franco Cecchi, President of AICARM, participated as a speaker at the Astori Association conference held in Florence on November 22. The presentation illustrated the role of AICARM in the prevention of cardiomyopathies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses, and showed the critical issues existing in the certification of physical or sports activity for patients with Cardiomyopathy.
During the event, which saw the participation of ministers Abodi and Schillaci, with an online message, and the support of CONI and FIGC, the need to review the current regulations on the certification of fitness for sports activities was discussed. Minister Schillaci announced the opening of a discussion table to review the current rules, based on a ministerial decree from 1982 and subsequent amendments.
AICARM will collaborate with the Astori Association and the cardiology scientific societies to re-evaluate and propose changes to the current legislation, hoping for a future meeting.
